After reading the story discuss the following questions with a parent:
What animals were in this book?
How were the last two pages of the book different from the rest of the book?
Do you like Eric Carl’s animal illustrations? Why, or why not?
Draw a picture of one of the animals from this book, and write a sentence about the animal.

Have an adult help you read the following questions and solve them. You can write your answers on your own paper. Use small items around your house or draw pictures to help you solve them.

2. Louie has 8 toy trucks. He got 2 more toy trucks for his birthday. How many toy trucks does he have now?

Think about different activities you did during recess. For example,
playing a game with a friend, using the slide, the swings, the jungle gym, or the musical instrument. Write and draw a sentence of which activity you enjoyed doing and why. Remember to use your best handwriting. Share your writing with someone at home.

Activity- Memory- Make word cards with paper or note cards (2 of each) of words that have the digraph th in it. (thin, thick, the, them, that, mother, father, brother, teeth, this, and they) Place the cards face down and spread them out. Take turns flipping two cards over and reading the words. If you find two words that match, keep the cards and go again. Continue taking turns until all cards are gone. The one with the most pairs wins.
