WSMS Principal Newsletter
November 3, 2022
Willow Parents,
I hope you all had a chance to see the amazing rendition of Willy Wonka Jr this past weekend. I was blown away by our kids and staff members who helped to put on the show!
As we approach this upcoming weekend, I wanted to remind you all that you will get to enjoy a 4 day weekend with your kids as we embark on a two-day professional development with our amazing school district. Also, please enjoy that extra hour of sleep as we fall back on the time change.
Have an incredible rest of the week and please enjoy that 4 day weekend.
Chris Koder

Thursday Night Football
As exciting as the final home game is, the pageantry of a Thursday night football game is special because so many of our students get to be involved. Whether it is the band marching at halftime, the cheerleaders getting the crowd on their feet, or the student trainers ensuring the safety of our players, the event is more special when more students are involved.
Here are a few reminders as we get ready for our game against the Melissa Cardinals:

- Tickets will be available for purchase during the week of the game at www.Lovejoyleopards.net
- To expedite admission into the stadium, please download your ticket to your phone prior to arriving so our ticket takers can quickly scan your ticket

Lovejoy Letter Campaign
It’s that time of year again to celebrate our amazing teachers and staff with our Lovejoy Letter Writing Campaign! Many of you are familiar with this beloved tradition, but for those of you who are not, it is the time of year when current and past students and parents write appreciation letters for each of our teachers and staff members across the district.
The letters do not have to be elaborate or lengthy. The goal is just for people to write a note of thanks to show gratitude to their teachers, the staff and administration in our district. It is an opportunity for us to take the time to let each person who makes a difference for us throughout the school day know how much we value them.
Please clearly label the envelope with the staff/teacher’s name and LLC (Lovejoy Letter Campaign) and return the letter to the box located in the designated area at your school no later than Friday November 11th.
The letter writing campaign has become such a meaningful tradition in our district. We really appreciate your time and effort to help us tell our teachers and staff thank you for all that they do!
