The Leadership Cadet Corps Armed Color Guard had the honor of presenting the colors at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for our city’s new Holocaust and Human Rights Museum in downtown Dallas. Our new mayor, Eric Johnson and Governor Greg Abbott were among the elected officials in attendance, and both gave memorable speeches. I think the most touching part of the ceremony was during the ribbon cutting. Holocaust survivors were escorted to the stage to cut a ribbon that extended across the stage while a choir sang in the background. Tears of hope and gratitude flowed from the audience.

The museum has set a goal for 100,000 students to visit the museum by the end of the 2019-2020 school year.

They were poised and professional, and they were complimented and thanked by those in attendance. Included are a few pictures including one with Holocaust survivor, Max Glauben.

Here are a few links featuring Max and the new museum.
