MTSS/RtI
December Update 2020-2021
What's Working
After hearing from some districts, there were some common ideas shared. These may help you with your RtI journey or remind you of what you are doing well!
If you haven't, you might want to try this:
1) Examine your Tier 1 Instruction-Stick to the TEKS
2) Use a Universal Screener
3) Data Driven Decisions not Feelings (It's HARD, I know!)
4) Intervention Time Built into the Day
5) Consistency- Common Language & Systems and What RtI Is Across the District
6) Administration is at Every RtI Meeting
RtI is CONSTANTLY Evolving. Focus on MOVING students. It's a PROCESS.

Less Intensive Vs. More Intensive Instruction
The portion of the article attached provides 3 samples of lessons. Each lesson gives an example and non-example of intensive instruction based on the same feature of effective instruction. This might even be useful in a campus meeting centered around RtI!
