Topic: Unpacking Visible Thinking and its rich ties to Universal Design for Learning
Visible Thinking is a flexible and systematic research-based conceptual framework, which aims to integrate the development of students' thinking with content learning across subject matters. Let's explore how visible thinking practices fit within the UDL framework and how we can incorporate both in our learning environments.
Questions:
- Q1. What do thinking and learning look like and sound like in your learning environment?
- Q2 Under what conditions do thinking and learning thrive?
- Q3. What #UDL Guidelines and checkpoints support thinking routines and how can they be embedded in curriculum design?
- Q4. How can we help classrooms become places of intellectual stimulation where learning is viewed not in test scores but in the development of individuals who can think, plan, create, question, and engage independently as learners?
