Superintendent's Update
July 23, 2020
CCPS Community,
Several weeks ago, we put out a survey to our parents, students, and staff asking them to share their initial feelings and comfort level for returning to school and those results were shared with our Board of Education and with the public at large. As we did with the interest survey for Summer School followed by a more targeted survey for participation, we are now asking parents and the employees who provide direct services to students to complete a follow-up survey on your intent to return to school/work in light of the developed safety precautions that are available below and in the survey link. The feedback from this survey will assist us in planning for staffing, transportation needs, and more as we move forward. I have shared with you below a video where I explain this in more detail and also provide an update on the CCPS Recovery Plan. Thank you for your continued patience, cooperation, and feedback as we all work together to do what is best for the students, families, and staff of CCPS.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey A. Lawson, Ed.D.
Superintendent.
