SELF CERTIFY YOUR STUDENTS/AUTOCERTIFIQUE A SUS ESTUDIANTES
Good Evening Pershing Families,
Beginning next week, we are asking that you self-certify your child prior to them coming into Pershing. We are asking that you complete this google form in the morning when it arrives in your email. THIS IS ONLY FOR STUDENTS COMING IN THE BUILDING. In order to keep everyone healthy and safe, we do want to remind you, that your child should not arrive for in-person instruction if they have any of the symptoms on this form. Keep your child home if they are exhibiting any symptoms and consult with your doctor. Your child will not be able to receive in-person services, if a parent or guardian has not completed the form.
Thank you for your help in keeping all of us safe and healthy.
Thank you,
Ms. Bazz

Gracias,
Sra. Bazz

A NOTE FROM MS. BAZZ
Welcome back Panthers! We hope all of you were able to enjoy a relaxing 2 weeks home with your families. 2020 definitely kept us on our toes, but it also made us that much more determined to enter 2021 with a bang and put our best efforts forth. We are really looking forward to seeing more and more of the kids in the weeks to come.
Please pay close attention to the different parts of this Panther Press this week. There are some VERY important pieces regarding TESTING, student iPad test preparations that need to be done, and Raptor Self-Certification of students before they enter the building, etc.
Please continue to help us by getting your students on their iPads by 8:55am. Classes should be ready to begin their learning at 9am sharp. Having the students in the waiting room prior to the beginning of class helps us not to waste a minute of learning. Just like when we were asking for students to be here, in person, and on time, we need the same for remote learning. Staff should be able to start lessons at 9:00am and no later. Helping us with this task would help us immensely.
To all the family members out there helping their student(s) with their E-learning, please keep in mind that the student(s) should be doing the work. If you have questions, comments, or concerns regarding something happening during class time, you can email the teacher or me specifically. Though you may want to jump in immediately, it does disrupt the learning and we need to keep the students focused on their teachers and the material at hand. We really do appreciate your help but if you have suggestions please save them for the teacher or send them my way, as to not interrupt the learning taking place.
* O.A.V. Tuesday 3:00-4:15 Mrs.Lovero’s Zoom Room

* Remote Learning begins at 9:00am SHARP
* Lunch for all is 11:30-12:30 (students are required to return for afternoon sessions)
* Please make sure students are charging their devices during the lunch hour and at night.
Attendance
If your student will be absent any part of the day, please be sure to call the attendance line by 9 am. 708-795-2349. You can leave a message at this number 24 hours a day.
From time to time, we may experience tech outages or issues. When we become aware of the issues, we will post something like this on our SEESAW Accounts: There is a technical issue with Zoom/Clever at this time. We are working quickly to resolve the issue. We will let you know when it is back up. When this happens, students can be doing any number of things.... read to self, read to a family member or pet, draw a picture about a read aloud they heard recently, journal about anything they like, take a movement break with some deep breaths, etc.
Tech Outages
You can check the status of Zoom here
https://status.zoom.us/https://status.zoom.us/
One last reminder. No one should be recording any of the classroom zoom calls or lessons being taught. If you think your child missed the concept being taught, or may need some extra help, or even if you need some extra help in order to help your child, please just reach out and ask the teacher. He/She would be more than happy to go over a concept with your child a 2nd or even a 3rd time.
Una nota de la Sra. Bazz
Bienvenidos Panthers!
