Parents and/or Guardians who want their BHS student(s) to be remote for the Spring 2021 Semester must complete the Spring 2021 Remote Learning Request by Tuesday December 1, 2020 for each student. For the spring 2021 semester BHS will utilize an alternate learning platform compared to what was used in the fall. Due to district requirements, your student's teacher may change from their original schedule. This is the ONLY BHS Remote Learning Option and you must commit for the FULL Spring 2021 semester.

B.A.S.S. FISHING
Buckhorn High School & Buckhorn Middle School Bass Fishing came through big last weekend with a 2nd place finish in their first Alabama BASS Nation High School tournament on Wheeler Lake for this season. Such a huge day overall for all these anglers. We are extremely proud of all of them! Big thanks to Army Bass Anglers for serving as boat captains again plus all the sponsors, parents, and captains. It takes a village to pull all this off! Shout out to Chick-fil-A Southwest Decatur for helping feed all the anglers and captains!

MATH TUTORING AT BHS
Students/Parents,
The BHS Math Department has created a flexible tutoring schedule that allows students to get help outside of their scheduled class time at their convenience. Students should sign-up via their current math class homepage on canvas so that the teacher scheduled knows to expect them. Please sign up 24 hours in advance due to space being monitored.
Students who sign up for morning tutoring should meet the teacher at 7:25 at the attendance office door (by the buck). If you have any questions please reach out to your current math teacher or email Mrs. Krentel (Math Department Chair) at ckrentel@mcssk12.org.
*The sign-up form requires the student to be logged into their school Gmail account*
Thank you,
BHS Math Teachers

HONOR A VETERAN
As you are trying to find that perfect gift for your favorite veteran, here is an opportunity to support a veteran by purchasing a brick paver and having it permanently placed in the Buckhorn H.S. Veterans Memorial.
Buying a brick is the one gift that truly keeps on giving. This is a permanent way to honor our veterans and their sacrifices to this country. These memorial bricks are located at the front of the school, as a permanent reminder of those veterans who served our great nation. There is no better way to honor your veteran, or service member than by purchasing a brick for them!
If you are interested in honoring your veteran and supporting the BHS JROTC program, please click the blue button below for more information and the order form.

Sign Up to Round Up!
The Round Up Program was started by The Schools Foundation and Huntsville Utilities to support local public school systems. The Schools Foundation is a funding partner of Madison County Schools. The more residential and commercial locations that round up, the more funding we can receive. Estimates show that if just half of the residential Huntsville Utilities users rounded up, it would generate approximately $500,000 to support our schools! By rounding up your utility bill to the nearest dollar each month, you help invest in the future of our students!
You can easily sign up to round up online:
http://www.hsvutil.org/myhsvu…/checkbill/roundup/signup.html
It might be a penny, it might be 25 cents, it might be 99 cents, but it will be no more than $11.88 a year. It takes less than 1 minute to fill out.
Thank you for supporting one of our community partners! Go Bucks!
