Day 4 Recap
Webelos Den F-16 Falcon
See you all this afternoon for the last day of camp!
Reminders for closing ceremonies
This is a reminder that there will be no carpool tonight. Come on up to the arena to watch the closing ceremony presentations. Closing ceremonies will start at 7:50 on the grassy area by the arena. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on. Parents are asked to arrive no earlier than 7:30.
Rotation 1 - Archery
Rotation 2 - STEM
For the airplane presentation, they made paper airplanes and watched a BrainPop video on ways to change patterns of flight.
For the Laws of Motion presentation, they watched another BrainPop video on Newton's three laws and demonstrated the laws with an alka-seltzer rocket experiment.
The third station made kites and talked about the history of kites and the importance of a kite tail.
ROTATION 3 - Lunch and Trading Post
Rotation 4 - Sports and a Rainbow
Afterwards, we were all treated to a double rainbow. It was really beautiful. The pictures don't really do it justice. They thought it was really cool!
rotation 5 - Health
The fire chief from Alpharetta led the scouts in a discussion about many health related topics: Bike safety, first aid, splinting, Heat Exhaustion, Frostbite, Ticks, bites from snakes, stings from bees, allergic reactions.
It was a lot of information in a short amount of time. Hopefully the boys took away some good info. They were all given a small first aid kit at the end.
