LEVY VIDEO

We created this adorable video about the levy, detailing what it pays for, how it impacts students, and how it affects taxpayers. This video was created in-house by our district, and the voice-over was done by a fourth-grade student at Hillcrest Elementary named Corrine! Check it out!

COMMUNITY PRESENTATION

Yesterday, we hosted a virtual community levy presentation to answer questions about the replacement levy. Dr. Gibbon brought in a couple of special guests and answered many of those burning levy-related questions.

MUSIC ALL-STARS

Congratulations to North Whidbey Middle School students Morgan Partridge and Phillip Esterdahl! They have both been selected for the 2021 Washington Junior All-State Band!

Due to COVID safety procedures, the All-State Band will not be meeting in person this year, but virtual music events are being offered for the thousands of students who auditioned. Morgan and Phillip were the only middle-school students accepted from any of the islands, and two of only six students from our competitive region.

Congratulations and a special thank you to their teachers, Mr. Patrick Manuel and Dr. Andy Judd!

COMMUNITY HELP

Our Oak Harbor High School students are the best. Today, members of our DECA team partnered with the City of Oak Harbor to do a cleanup by cutting back invasive species at Freund Marsh. They were out there for two hours. The effort was led by President Zachary Badouie. A special shoutout to DECA advisor Eric Peterson!
