Principal's Message
I have decided to retire. It is a bittersweet decision. I have loved my time at Goshen. I love the students, faculty, staff and families. However, I am looking forwarded to spending time with my 14 grandchildren!!! I will continue as the principal of Goshen until July 1, 2021. I am looking forward to the next few months and making more great memories with the students and staff.
Goshen's principal will be Mr. Atkins. I am excited to welcome him to the greatest school in Nebo School District. He will be spending some time at Goshen during the next few months. It will be a great opportunity for him to get to know the students and staff.

Mr. Atkin received his bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Utah Valley University and a master’s degree in Education Administration from Southern Utah University.
Currently Mr. Atkin serves as a Title I Coordinator at Park View Elementary. He has been there for the past three years. He started his career teaching third and fourth grades at Spring Lake Elementary for four years.

Mr. Atkin stated, “There is no greater call and responsibility than educating children. The things children are taught today become the reality of society tomorrow. I know that all kids can learn, and my vision as a school leader is to provide a safe environment conducive to that learning.”
A colleague said, “Ben possesses the leadership skills to be an effective school administrator. He is smart, caring, self-motivated, hard-working, and a continuous learner willing to jump in wherever needed. Ben is the complete package.”
One of Ben’s personal mottos comes from his dad, Norman Atkin, “Always look for ways to do more than is required, and you will always find success.”
Ben enjoys fishing, hiking, farming, and sports. He is married to Angie, and they have five children.
Mr. Atkin's will begin on July 1, 2021.

Digital Citizenship Parent Tips
We completed teaching the NetSmartz Digital Citizenship lessons to all of our students. Our fabulous P.E. Coaches did a great job!!!! They had fun discussing the short lessons with each grade.
We encourage you to look through the Digital Citizenship Parent Tips. We invite you to read each of them and use them to talk with your students about using the internet responsibly.
We would love to know how you used the parent resources for Digital Citizenship. We are asking you to answer a short survey after you have completed one of monthly activities with your family. After you have completed the survey 3 different times, we will send home an "unplugged" game for your family!
Thank you for taking the short survey at Digital Citizenship.
