As we come to the last two days of school, like all of you, as a parent, educator, and citizen I have struggled to find “balance” during this time and have hoped with all my heart and soul that we are making the right decisions to help support our students and each other. I have been determined to stay positive, find the “silver linings” and hope with every fiber of my being that we as a society will come through this challenging time better, more resilient, and with an increased genuine focus on the things that are most important to grow successful citizens that make a positive difference in our community, school and world.
We are Panther Strong together… I can't wait for us to get back at school together in September!!!
With Gratitude,
James E. Anderson

Hi My Future 7th graders,
In case you were not able to come to our 7th grade transition meeting on zoom this past week, we wanted to provide you with the video we recorded of most of your 7th grade teachers. Due to schedule conflicts, not all 7th grade teachers were able to attend the zoom meeting. Ms. Wetherbee (7th-9th grade School Counselor) and I will be doing another 7th grade transition meeting in the fall for you and your parents as a refresher to this meeting. If you have any questions please reach out to me at rsears@cscsd.org or Lisa Wetherbee at lwetherbee@cscsd.org. Have a great summer!

Important Message from Nurse Mullikin
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Hope this finds you safe and healthy.
To say that this has been a strange year doesn't even come close.
I just want to touch base with my families on some of the end of year things from the health office. And to make you aware of some things for the upcoming school year.
To begin:
1. Vaccinations- New York State passed a law (PHL 2164) after the 2019 measles outbreak, that has changed the way we look at immunizations.
Most immunizations are part of a series, or require boosters that are given on a schedule. The state is very strict with adherence to that schedule.
By Law a child CAN NOT attend school if 14 or more days have elapsed from the recommended date for a vaccine
I am in the process of mailing out letters to let you know what immunizations your child will need in order to start school in September. I have enclosed the reports from the NYS database that will show you what immunizations your child needs and what the recommended date is. In most situations the 14 day grace period has already passed. Meaning the child CAN NOT start school without having received them.
We can no longer accept and appointment date as an indication that the child will receive the vaccine.
All children entering kindergarten must have a second MMR (measle, mumps, rubella) and Varicella (chicken pox) booster.
Children age 11+ entering the 6th grade must have a Tdap booster.
Children that are less than 11 entering 6th grade, must receive that Tdap booster within 14 calendar days of their birthday, or by law they must be excluded from school. I will call you to come pick them up. It's the law.
Children entering 7th grade and 12th grade must receive a Meningitis vaccine.
Please get these done over the summer and get copies to the health office before school starts in September to avoid delays with your child being able to start classes. Again we can not accept an upcoming appointment date. After 14 calendar days your child will be excluded from school.
2. Physicals- Law requires all students entering school for the first time ie. Pre-K, Kindergarten (if your child did not attend Pre-K) and new enrollments to have a current physical examination on file in the health office.
In addition to the above, students in grades 1,3,5,7,9, and 11 are required to have a current physical on file.
If you child received a physical after sept. 1, 2019 that counts as an acceptable physical.
If you have an appointment scheduled, please notify us of the date, and send a copy in as soon as it is done.
If by December 31st, 2020 we have not received a copy of a physical for your child, he or she will be scheduled to get a physical done by our school physician.
And finally:
3. Medications
As needed medications- In the elementary building, I packaged them up, with a blank order sheet for next year and sent them home with your child's last work pick up and personal belongings Thursday 5/28/20. If your child will need these medications next year, please get the order filled out and signed by your physician and bring the order and medication in next year. Please don't forget to sign yourself up on the upper third of the consent.
Routine or daily meds-I have mailed out new orders/consents for daily medications that I administer here at school. Please have your physician complete them and return them over the summer by mail or fax 607-5279866 elementary building, or 607-527-9860 for the high school building.
Remember to sign your signature also where I put the *. I have filled them out for the most part. If there is a change in medication or dosage the physician will have to do a new order.
If you have any questions or concerns feel free to email me @ kmullikin@cscsd.org. I will be in and out of the office throughout the summer but do not have specific days. I will check messages when I'm in the office.
Hope you have a great summer. And more than anything here's hoping that we never have to experience this again.

Unemployment - Loss of job due to Covid-19
