Let's Hear It For The Books!
A book bag was given out at the beginning of the year to each elementary student to utilize throughout the year. It has saved many a book from left over snacks and beverages. The reading ninja bag was a bit of a bummer in the quality of this tried and true brand, however hopefully next year they will have corrected the problem.
With this being said, please remember to take care of books so others may enjoy them too!
For The Love of Books
Special Shout Out to Donna King from Wylie, Texas. Each year she donates new hardcover books to the library, most of which are from popular series. We see you!

Wise Words
So many things are possible just as long as you don’t know they’re impossible.
– Norton Juster, The Phantom Tollbooth
A teacher’s job is to take a room full of live wires and make sure they are well grounded. – Unknown
Sweet Tunes
Almost everyone is familiar with 1975 British rock band Queen's version of the six minute long mixed composition of Bohemian Rhapsody. The instrumental portion alone is phenomenal. Now, picture this song sung A cappella. That's right. All voice, no instruments. Well, it has been successful pulled off. Judge for yourself. Link below.

Storm Savy
Ways to stay safe during a storm:
*Unplug electronic equipment.
Power surges from lightning can damage computers, monitors and TVs, and cause sparks that might start a fire.
*If it’s safe, bring in outdoor furniture and other items that could blow away.
These may become a hazard.
*Stay inside a building or car that’s not a convertible.
Rubber tires won’t protect you from lightning so avoid touching metal inside the car.
*Close windows, shutters, blinds, shades, and curtains.
This will help keep out wind, rain, and broken glass.
*Make sure outside doors are securely closed.
This will help keep out wind and rain.
