From the Principal's Desk
Hello Rose Pioneer Families,
It's been fun seeing students at various community events since the start of school and the month of October is full of important events. This week is Spirit Week and it culminates next Friday, October 8th with the Homecoming Parade, which our Rose Pioneer students and parents can march in. If you or your children have never experienced a Holly parade, you really should plan to participate with us; it's great fun! See Spirit Days and homecoming parade participation details below.
This coming Wednesday, October 6th is Student Count Day across Michigan. If a student is ill, or not feeling well, s/he should stay home and will be counted in our enrollment upon return to school.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held in-person, over the phone, or virtually via Google Meets during the week of October 18th - 22nd. Teachers will communicate the procedure for signing up starting this coming week and parents will have the option regarding how they would like to participate. We look forward to partnering with parents and 100% participation is our goal.
The Fall Fun Run and Ninja Warrior Course is Pioneer Parents' annual fundraiser. The proceeds raised from this event fund many student activities that would otherwise not be possible. The Fun Run is a student event during the school day and will be held on Thursday, October 28th. Details regarding family donations and prizes will be coming home soon.
After a Covid related pause, Fall Family Fun Night is coming back to Rose Pioneer on Friday, October 29th! Details can be read below but we are very excited to bring back outdoor events such as this for our students and families. Similar to last year, teachers will also communicate how parents can support classroom Halloween parties but those will be reserved for students due to Covid-19 protocols.
