We have had a busy week with tests and Children's Day Celebrations! As a result we will be taking this coming week to review Theme Four in Literacy by Design. Our students have been practicing synthesizing text through discussion and writing exercises to get a better understanding of what they read. They have also been reviewing: punctuation and the multiple uses of the period/ decimal. Word studies include vowel blends like: ai, ay, eigh, ee, ea, igh, ie, ou, ow.
Continue studying vocabulary and spelling words posted from last week.
Parents, remember, we have substituted the RAZ reading logs with the Principal's Reading Challenge! Let's keep those coming! Challenge your young ones to be great readers. Reading is a vital skill for developing language and critical-thinking skills.
