Mrs. Seeley's Weekly Stats
December 14-18
Santa is Here
Reading
Good readers read all the time. Please make sure that you continue to record the books being read at home on the reading log. The reading log should be returned in the homework pocket each Friday so that I can check off on the number of books read each week.
This week will be a review week, so no homework sheet will come home. Please just continue to read this week and over the holidays so that we do not lose any of the vital skills that we have learned!
Phonics - This week we will review all long vowel spellings we have learned thus far.
Writing
This week we will be writing poetry.
We will continue to review nouns, verbs, and adjectives. We will be incorporating these parts of speech into our poetry.
Math
We will continue to practice making ten when one addend is 8 or 9 and counting on to solve addition problems.
Social Sciences
We will take a closer look at how Christmas is celebrated in Alabama, focusing in on traditions.
