BE Initiative - November - BE COURAGEOUS
A courageous person isn't without fear, concern, or challenges. Instead, a courageous person battles through challenges, believes in themselves, and work daily to persevere. Be that person who is courageous and takes on the challenges of life head on!

Important FAFSA information for seniors
Parents and Guardians:
This message was previously shared via email with all seniors.
We wanted to share this important piece of information for all seniors and their families so you can prepare for filing the the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
During the 2023 legislative session, the Indiana General Assembly passed Senate Enrolled Act (SEA) 167-2023 which requires high school seniors to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or affirmatively opt out of filing by April 15. Completing the FAFSA is an important step in a postsecondary education. Students pursuing short-term certificate training, associate/bachelor’s degrees and even some apprenticeships may receive financial aid by completing the FAFSA.
Please note, the FAFSA for the 2024-2025 year is not open yet for completion. We have been advised, it should open sometime this December. We will communicate as soon as we know the date. The FAFSA will need to be completed by April 15, 2024 (or the opt-out waiver completed by that date).
We will be hosting a FAFSA workshop night for students and their parents who need assistance filling the FAFSA. It will be held at the high school on Monday, January 22 at 6:00pm.
There is an attached flyer with more general information about the FAFSA.
Any questions, please contact the HS guidance office.

Boy's Basketball Season Preview
Coach Levi Hostetter's Thoughts:
I am really excited about this group of student-athletes. This team has demonstrated a ton of potential already during the pre-season and we hope to continue to grow and compete as a team throughout the season with a goal of being at our very best come sectional time.
We have a really nice mix of experience and youth with this year squad. We have five seniors, four of which have a ton of varsity experience in Max, Kobe, Briar, and Dalton. The addition of first year player Brayden Borders will add even more senior class depth. Several underclassmen will also play a strong role at both the varsity and JV levels.
The boys have done a great job adapting to new ideas and concepts the coaching staff has brought to the program this year. Things such as a high level of toughness, competitiveness, and an up-tempo style of play that should be fun to watch.
This group is a fun group of kids to be around and I love coaching them. I’m really excited to see the things they can accomplish this season.
The team will tip off the season this coming Wednesday, November 22 at 6:00pm at home vs. North Knox.
