Message from the Principal
Dear Knight Families,
I want to thank everyone for your understanding and patience as we navigate the Covid-19 waters. I strongly believe that our safety protocols are keeping kids safe on campus. Our students have been amazing at sanitizing and wearing masks. We have had 3 resolved cases and one active case. Students who are quarantined have received more opportunities for classroom engagement through google live streams. I am proud of our teachers and thankful for their commitment to helping their students.
Cash 4 Classrooms Goal Met
Thank you so much for your contributions to the Chandler Education Foundation. We met our school goal of 90% participation! To celebrate, we will have a Free Dress day next Monday, November 23rd. Our teachers are busy applying for grants to receive some of this funding. We can't wait!
Office Reminders (Drop off)
- Late student arrivals, please walk your student into the office and sign them in. Face coverings are required.
- The earliest drop off for students is 7:15 am. We do not have supervision on campus before then.
No Rescue Policy
- When dropping off forgotten items for students, please note that students are responsible for coming to the office during passing periods to check. They are welcome to check during lunch as well! We want to avoid interrupting classes. Thank you!
Tax Credit Donations
ACPO is looking to use tax credit funds for new student laptops and supporting our move to the Erie campus. Please consider making your Arizona State tax credit donation to AZ College Prep Oakland. Please ask family and friends to donate online as well. A tax credit is a full refund, not a deduction. Check out the link below. Thank you for your support.
I hope you have a happy and healthy weekend.
Go Knights!

POWER HOUR REGISTRATION THE WEEK OF 12/01/2020
Power Hour is an academic support we provide at ACPO on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the school year. It is a time where students can go to study and work on any of their academic classes. If needed, there is a classroom teacher available to answer questions. Space is limited to 20 students and pre-registration is required. All students must have a reserved a spot prior to attending a session. Power Hour runs from 2:50 pm to 3:50 pm Tuesday-Thursday's. Room locations are listed in the Upcoming Events section above.
Students must be picked up promptly at 3:50 pm at parent pick-up. As a reminder, ACPO does not have afterschool care. Students continually picked up late may lose the privilege of participating in Power Hour.
Notes:
- These are not instructor led sessions and parents must provide student transportation.
- In order to attend, all students must signup weekly through signup genius to ensure sufficient space is available.
- Under current Executive Order, facial coverings are mandated.
To ensure that all students have the opportunity to attend Power Hour as needed, students may only be signed-up for 1 week at a time.

ACP LIBRARY UPDATE
We are currently limiting the number of students allowed in the library to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Students are able to sign up for a time to visit the library during lunch (after they eat) or for 30 minutes after school. They may sign up to work at a table, use a computer, or to browse the collection. Students will sign up via SignUpGenius. Parents may sign up for students, but please make sure the student’s name is listed! Click here for the SignUpGenius for next week: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080844ada72fa6f58-library5 and here for the week after Thanksgiving: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/5080844ADA72FA6F58-library6 A link to the SignUpGenius form can also be found on the ACP-Oakland Library website, which is located here: https://www.cusd80.com/domain/5815. Students may still put books on hold to be picked up in the library! Information regarding placing holds for books is also on the library website. It has been great to see students safely using the library!
Thank you to those parents who recently donated books from the library wish list. Mrs. Parzych is incredibly grateful! If you are ever interested in donating books, you can go here to see what is needed: https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/R1EE5TUZJM30?ref_=wl_share We are so thankful for all of our generous ACP parents!
TIME TO ORDER IS TICKING AWAY! YEARBOOK SALES BY PRE-ORDER ONLY
Don't forget to order a yearbook for your student(s). ACP does not buy extra yearbooks to sell at the end of the school year. Be sure to pre-order yours now before prices increase, and before presales end. Not the right time financially? Families may reserve a yearbook by making a partial deposit and periodic payments through Josten's online system. We don't want any students to miss out!
