What's inside YOUR computer? (;

Let's take a look inside x

  • 1. CPU (Central Processing Unit) this device is the brain of the computer

    The CPU send commands all around the computer and is the brains to the whole computer.

    Why are they needed?

    Otherwise the computer won’t work because it couldn’t send commands to anything therefore the computer wouldn’t and COULDN’T do anything ?

  • RAM ( Random Accesss Memory )

    RAM(random access memory) is memory in which all areas can be written to or read from within the same amount of time. The operating system, application programs and data in current use are kept in RAM, specifically in the chip-on-card main memory, for quick access by the computer's processor.

    Some more major components to the computer

    Graphics/Video Card. This helps with video games

    A video card (also called a video adapter, display card, graphics card, graphics board, display adapter or graphics adapter) is an expansion card which generates a feed of output images to a display. Most video cards offer various functions such as accelerated rendering of 3D scenes and 2D graphics, MPEG-2/MPEG-4 decoding, TV output, or the ability to connect multiple monitors (multi-monitor).

    Disk Drive ( if you want to upload a computer base ( windows 7 )

    Disk Drive is a form of data storage for a computer

    Cooling System (if you want your computer to last a long time it is vital to have)

    Cooling systems for buildings, part of HVAC technology

    Cooling systems for vehicles, such as internal combustion engine cooling

    Cooling systems for nuclear powerplants, using nuclear reactor coolant

    The Frame

    The frame just simply holds everything in place and where it needs to be (:
