Principal's Message
Welcome Back!! We were so excited to welcome back our lions today! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving break and want to thank you for your on-going support, dedication to helping your child and also partnering with us this school year! You are GREATLY appreciated!
We have only 3 more weeks until our next break. Can you believe it? It is so important to make sure your child is not only at school every day, but here ON TIME in order to not miss out on any instruction. We also have several planned activities that students will be able to participate in. The events calendar for December will be going home this week. Check out all the themes we will have for our "12 days until Winter Break!"
More information regarding our school wide events are included in this newsletter for your review.

We use P.R.I.D.E. to introduce our campus expectations. Teachers have Morning Meetings to build community and reinforce these expectations.

December 2 - Send exact cash for presale wristband tickets ($15)
December 2 - Winter time is fun you see. WEAR your Christmas Tee.
December 3 - Winter Wonderland (10am - 2pm)
*Wristband tickets will be $20 on the day of the event!
December 5 - Grinch Day, WEAR green!
December 5 - Last day to purchase books at the Book Fair in the library!
December 5 - Holiday Treasures Store OPENS TODAY!
December 6 - You are sure sweet. DRESS like a CANDY CANE from head to toe.
December 7 - Deck the Halls - WEAR your favorite Christmas Shirt.
December 8 - Fall Picture Retake Day!
December 8 - Shine Bright! - DRESS yourself with Christmas Lights.
December 9 - Our Winter Break is on the way! - WEAR white and dress like a snowman.
December 12 - WEAR your favorite pair of Christmas Socks.
December 13 - You are awesome as yourself but today DRESS as your favorite elf.

School and Office Hours
Office Hours (7:30am-4:00pm)
7:30am - Front Office Opens
7:30am - 7:55am - Breakfast
**Please drop of your child no later than 7:45am if you would like for them to eat breakfast at home.**
8:00am - Cafeteria Side Doors Close - Parents will need to park and escort child to office after this time.
8:05am - Tardy Bell Rings
Pick Up Times - Parents will need to park and pick up students from FRONT OFFICE after 3:45pm!
2:20pm - Last time for any Transportation Changes
2:40pm - Last time to pick up students before Dismissal Time
3:10pm - Dismissal Begins
3:45pm - Car Riders that have not been picked up need to be picked up in the front office.
4:00pm - All students should be picked up.; Front Office Closes.

Important - Afternoon Car Riders with NO NUMBER
Attendance Matters!!!
All absences can be reported each time your child is absent. Visit HERE to view the different ways you can report an absence. You may also contact our Registrar/Attendance Specialist, Kewana Davis, at kcdavis@humbleisd.net
Lunch Visitor Policy
Parents/Guardians wishing to have lunch with their child are welcome on the assigned days. Bring your ID - as visitors must check in with the front office to obtain a visitor's badge. Please be respectful of the following procedures when visiting Park Lakes for lunch:
- Visitor badges must be worn and visible at all times when you are in the building!
- Lunch guests are required to sit at the special "guest" tables located on the stage and should only sit with their child.
- Lunch guests may not walk around the cafeteria to visit with other students and may not share/purchase food for any other students except their own.
- In order to avoid crowding, visitors will be asked to wait in the front foyer until it is lunch time and are asked to stay only for their students' lunch time.
- All visitors must check out with the front office when lunch is over.

Breakfast Reminders: If your child is having breakfast at school, please try to get here no later than 7:45am so that students have enough time to eat and be ready for the day by morning announcements. FYI - Park Lakes is NOT open for breakfast visitors at any time during the school year.

This application must be renewed each year.
