Cura Faith Sharing Groups
Small groups meet weekly, starting Sept. 21. Sign up from now until October!
Cura Faith-Sharing Groups build off of our Koinonia Small Groups and get their name from the Jesuit value cura personalis. During this time of increased isolation, we hope to provide an avenue of connection, so that we can provide for each other the kind of love and care that can only come from being in community.
Cura groups will gather virtually each week to reflect and pray together, discussing topics that are relevant to your lives as students. Groups include 5-10 participants led by 1-2 student leaders. This year, we'll have affinity spaces for students with shared identities to come process through their experiences together.
Group themes for Fall 2020:
- General groups (all class years)
- Women’s Spirituality
- LGBTQIA+ identified students
- First Year students
- Racial Equity (affinity spaces for BIPOC and white/white-passing students)

Bible Study on Race, Identity, Justice & Peace
Join Rev. Scott for weekly bible studies to address these and many other questions, as we seek substantive insights for restoration, empowerment, justice and peace in the ancient, but still very relevant, wisdom deeply rooted in the Word of God!
Many of us find ourselves “hard-pressed on every side” and “perplexed” by existential questions that seem unanswerable:
- What does it all mean—what really matters?
- How can I effectively respond to my reasonable fears, anxieties and even anger that often consumes me?
- Where can I find nurturance in these moments of depletion?
- Why is God silent in the space of desolation?

In, Out & In Between (IOIB)
Every Thursday from 3-4:15pm
Out? Questioning? Not Sure? No problem.
IOIB is a group that provides space for queer-identifying students and those who may be questioning/exploring their sexual or gender identity. This is a group that is not for allies, as it is an affinity space, allowing folks to speak openly about their experiences connected to queer identity, intersections with other identities, relationships (family, friends, dating), and college life. Conversation topics are selected by student participants. Meetings will be held on Zoom.
