Digital Citizenship
what is digital citizenship?
Digital Citizenship
Your digital citizenship is the way you act online. Your digital citizenship can be affected by all the things that you do or say online. Digital Citizenship is your reputation and how others view you online. To be a good digital citizen means that you ignore rude or offensive posts, keep yourself safe, don't say hurtful or inappropriate things online, and you respect other people privacy. The internet is a vast network that many people use everyday. Digital citizenship stays with you your entire life and it is good to start the good habits now. Also, remember it is always easier to keep your reputation as respected than to have a low reputation and try to raise it back up.
Digital Footprint
Your digital footprint is similar to a footprint that follows you most of your life. From the day your name is mentioned online, someone posts a picture online, or you create an account online your digital footprint starts. You can have either a positive or negative digital footprint. If you cuss online, do inappropriate things, or harass others online then you will have a negative digital footprint. A digital footprint can affect the kind of job you get into or college you get into.
The Grandma Rule
The Grandma rule is a rule that if you wouldn't want your grandma to see what you posted, don't post it.

Worms, Hackers, and Viruses
Worms, Hackers, and Viruses
Worms, Hackers, and Viruses are things that can attack your computer making it almost impossible to use it. Hackers can crack password codes and spam others and make it impossible to ever get on your account again. In some ways though, hackers can be useful if you are trying to keep other hackers from getting into the United State's important accounts. But, most of the time not. Worms are viruses that are used to replicate themselves and infect the computer and others, viruses are all the ways your computer can be attacked. Viruses and worms can make your computer a victim if you open up a webpage and the "You Just Won 1 Million Dollars, Click Here To Claim Your Prize" logo comes up. You may think you just won one million dollars, but when you click on it, viruses and worms are spread to your computer. By exiting the web page or closing down your computer can avoid having to click on the logo.
Cyberbullying
Cyberbullying is the art of bullying using technology to harass, threaten, embarrass, harm, put down, and other rude things like that. Cyberbullying is NOT okay to do, it also can be apart of your digital citizenship and digital footprint.
