Mr. Kardon's Space Exploration Club Launches Weather Balloon on Monday, May 22, 2017
The payload landed in Gardner, MA. Since the tracking doesn't work below a certain altitude, we ended up with a search area about a quarter mile on a side. They looked for a while, but they ran out of light and had to head home without the payload.
They studied the telemetry more carefully, and narrowed down the search area a little more, so Mr. Kardon drove out to Gardner, and he found it!! Unfortunately, it landed on the roof of a warehouse, so he will have to call the company that owns the warehouse and ask them to help me get it from the roof. Once they recover the payload, they will get the onboard video of the flight.

Students learn how to use the course to teach teamwork and build confidence among the students. These students met challenges and accomplished feats they never thought were possible, like ascending the 30 foot high rope climbing towers. The camp emphasizes good decision making skills while working with peers to solve problems.
