Welcome Back AMS!
We have had a wonderful start to the school year, thank you for sharing your children with us!!
Back to School Night will be held on Wednesday, August 31st from 5:30pm -7:00pm.
5th and 6th Grade Students and Families please meet in the District Theater at 5:30pm. After an all school information meeting, you will proceed to your grade level team for presentations on curriculum, assessments, and grade level activities.
7th and 8th Grade Students and Families please meet in the Grade Level Core Team at 5:30pm. You will meet teachers first and then proceed to the District Theater for your all school information meeting at 6:15pm.
School Day: Please remember that school starts at 8:45am. School supervision begins at 8:30am on the blacktop. The day concludes at 3:45pm.
Please schedule appointments outside of school hours whenever possible.

Morning Homework Club
At AMS we understand that some of our students are arriving early with their elementary siblings. We will begin our Morning Homework Club on Monday, August 29th. Please sign your student up for Morning Homework Club HERE.
When: Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 8:30am
Where: AMS Library
No cell phones or eating in the Library so please have your student eat breakfast prior to arrival. Students are welcome to read or complete homework. Students will be dismissed to the blacktop at 8:30am. Our Librarian, Kassandra, is eager to meet students and support them with their morning work.
Lunch Information
As part of the Food Service Department we serve a hot lunch daily to our students and staff:
● High School $6.50
● Middle School $5.50
● Elementary School $4.50
● The Cottage $4.50
● Staff $6.50
This includes; Hot lunch, Fresh fruit & Vegetables, Salad Bar and Milk. Daily vegetarian and gluten free options are included with lunch.
All other items are classified as a la carte and come at an additional cost to students and
families. I would like to encourage parents and caregivers to have conversations with your student/s regarding you and your families lunch and a la carte participation. You can also check your student/s lunch and a la carte activity via powerschool as needed.

Updated School Safety Policies
To prioritize school safety we have updated several school protocols. Please take note of the following changes:
Front Door is locked during the day.
Front doors are locked at 8:45am. Students who arrive after 8:45am must use the office buzzer to gain permission to enter the building. This change will help ensure our campus is safe throughout the day.
Backpacks
Students are required to store their backpacks in their locker or on a hook. Carrying backpacks throughout the building to classes and to lunch/recess are not allowed.
Cell phones
From 8:45-3:45, cell phones should be silenced and stored in lockers. Please review our AMS Cell Phone Policy with your student. Should your student violate the policy, we will invite you and your student to review the policy with a school administrator
