What's Next:
Reading:
-Compare and contrast two or more characters, settings, or events in a story or drama, drawing on specific details in a text.
-Describe how a narrator’s or speaker’s point of view influences how events are described.
Social Studies:
-Describe Tennessee’s involvement in the War of 1812, including: Andrew Jackson, the Tennessee volunteers, and Battle of Horseshoe Bend.
- Analyze the impact of Andrew Jackson’s presidency on the American Indian population of Tennessee, including: the Indian Removal Act, Trail of Tears, Treaty of Echota, and John Ross.
Math:
-Compare two decimals to thousandths based on meanings of the digits in each place and use the symbols >, =, and < to show the relationship.
-Round decimals to the nearest hundredth, tenth, or whole number using understanding of place value.
Science:
-Use evidence from the presence and location of fossils to determine the order in which rock strata were formed.
-Use evidence to construct an explanation for how variations of characteristics among individuals within the same species may provide advantages to those individuals in their survival and reproduction.
