This Weekend's Sports Action
Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team for advancing to the 2nd Round of the 6-5A Region Tournament after defeating MLK. The Red Devils will take on Mays Wednesday at 5:30pm at Banneker High School. Winner of the game advances to the State Playoffs.

The Atlanta Sickle Cell Summer Research Training Program
The Atlanta Sickle Cell Summer Research Training Program is sponsored by the National Institutes of Health and conducted by Morehouse School of Medicine, Emory University Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation, and Georgia Institute of Technology.
Successful candidates will participate in an eight-week experience in a medical center research laboratory environment this summer. Each student will be assigned a faculty mentor and work in his or her laboratory.

Rhame Foundation Scholars
Druid Hills, in partnership with Emory Health Sciences Research Center, has created the Rhame Foundation Scholars program. Rising junior and senior students with a high aptitude and interest in the sciences will have the opportunity to participate in a paid summer research internship program alongside some of Emory's finest researchers.
The official application, consisting of an essay, transcript/GPA, test scores, and a teacher evaluation form, will be available later this month. Please contact Ms. Rebecca Brown or Ms. Carrie Helton if you are interested in learning more about the program.
