Communication Corner April 8th 2016

"Every child, every person needs to know they are a source of joy; every child every person needs to be celebrated." Jean Vanier

Dear Jesus, one of your best friends was Mary Magdalene.

She was the first to see your tomb was empty.

She never left your side and always believed in you.

She was the first to spread

the joyful news that you were alive.

You were risen!

Jesus, help us to have the same faith in you.

Help us believe in you and never leave your side.

Fill us with your Spirit so

we can proclaim your Good News to others

as Mary Magdalene did.

Then you can call us your loyal disciple.

We ask this in hope.

Easter Basket Blessing

On Thursday, April 14th, our school will be having an Easter basket blessing celebration at 12:30 p.m. in the school gymnasium. Letters to parents were sent home yesterday. Please check your child's backpack for a letter to parents. Each student has been asked to contribute to his/her classroom basket. In the letter, you will find your child's name under the category of food he/she needs to bring to class next Thursday. For the celebration, Ukrainian students are asked to wear their Ukrainian blouses/shirts, and English students are asked to wear their Sunday best clothes. Parents are cordially invited to join us for this special celebration of the Ukrainian Catholic faith. Father Rendy will lead us in the Divine Liturgy.
