The Cardinals picked up two big wins in a four day span. On Friday, the team avenged an earlier season loss to Bonner Springs with a 56-34 win at Bonner. Junior Harper Schreiner had a huge night with 18 pts., 13 rebounds, 10 assists, and 7 steals. Junior Mackenzie Mayer had a breakout night in finishing with a career-high 19 points. In addition to her points, she also took three charges on the night. Senior Melia Martin had an outstanding on the defensive end by limiting Bonner Springs best player. Another great defensive performance was turned in by senior Kate Erpelding to go along with her five assists.
Monday night the ladies opened up the Tonganoxie Tournament against a very talented DeSoto team. It was a battle all night between the two teams. The Cardinals started the 4th quarter down 11 to the Wildcats. The ladies did not quit and continued to compete hard. The result was a thrilling 43-39 win. This was a total team effort for the victory. Senior Jayla Pierce led the team toughness by battling all night in the post with DeSoto’s best player. She also contributed 8 points including a big two pointer late in the fourth quarter. Schreiner led the team with 17 points while Erpelding added 10. Key contributions off the bench came from sophomore Sawyer Schreiner and freshman, Kenzie Yoder. In the last minute, the game was won on the free throw line as Martin and Mayer had huge makes to solidify the win. Cardinals Care Fund
The Eudora Schools Foundation (ESF) and the Eudora Schools are pleased to announce our Cardinals Care Fund. Take a look at this announcement video: https://youtu.be/8e2hqUDJp_I
The ESF's Cardinals Care Fund was created to meet the urgent, immediate, and basic necessities of Eudora students, to ensure that the student's physical, social and emotional needs do not stand in the way of their success in school. This program helps fill needs unmet by any other source. If you or you know of someone that has a need, please reach out to your student's school.
ESF administers financial assistance for emergency needs such as food, clothing, medical, transportation, utility, and housing. Of course, some requests are unique and fall into no specific category. Please note, this is an emergency fund and money is limited.
