KES Library Update
November 2015
What we've been up to
Grade 4 was so excited to see their work on the ceiling and to have everyone else finally see it! Thank you for all the positive feedback. Seacoast Online ran a story I submitted about the project. You can see it here. I also posted it on the bulletin board by the office.
Grade 5 has been working to pull out information from books and websites about our national symbols as well as keeping track of where we find our information. I am seeing that reading for information from books is a challenge because it requires patience and discernment. They are also enjoying listening to a Great Stone Face book together.
It seemed that everyone enjoyed our author visit from Matt Tavares! We now have three of his books available in the library, and you can see the drawing he created sitting high in the library! As a little tease, we are planning another author visit for our Read Across America Week in March!!!
Shelfies!
I realize after giving my hand a cramp taking my own shelfie, that it is not the simplest request I have made, but your support is so much appreciated!!!
