Memorial Day Program
On Friday, May 26th, Merrimac Schools will honor our local Service Members! If you have a Service Member in your family that you would like recognized, please fill out the form below and return to your child's school ASAP. Families are welcome to attend either event listed below.
Event Details:
HRD: 8:45- 9:15am
FNS: 9:45-10:15am
Each FNS grade level will perform a song. Select HRD students will perform.
Field Day!
Field Day will be held on Friday, June 9th (rain date Monday, June 12th). We are in need of volunteers to run stations and donated items.

Items (EXCEPT water balloons) can be dropped off at HRD the week before (6/2).

Click here to access the online CORI form. You can print and complete or download and type in the document. Once filled out, bring to the HRD or FNS Main Office with your license. This can take several days to complete, so please plan accordingly. We look forward to a fun event!

Ice Cream Social with Literacy Night!
Merrimac students (Pre K-6th) are welcome to join the Merrimac PTO Ice Cream Social on Thursday, June 8th from 5pm - 7pm at Sweetsir School Playground (if raining, inside the school). Celebrate the end of the school year with a Literacy Night including a make and take project for the summer break. Teachers and Faculty will scoop Carter's Ice Cream!
Wolfpack Howl Fair
We have made it through another school year - time to celebrate! Join us on June 16th at the Donaghue Fields from 6-10 PM. Come enjoy games, face painting, air brush tattoos, and a bouncy house! We will have Fat Belly BBQ and Brusters Real Ice cream as well as Cotton Candy and Popcorn for purchase. Once the sun goes down, enjoy a free outdoor movie! (Sponsored by the Merrimac Cultural Council and the Merrimac PTO - Title to be announced shortly) - bring your blankets and lawn chairs to enjoy a movie under the stars! The outdoor movie is free to all. Food Trucks set their own prices and are paid directly. Food trucks will also have beverages for purchase.
Price Info: Once you arrive at the event, purchase your tickets or bracelets (cash preferred, and card also accepted). Bracelets can be purchased at a 20-dollar flat rate fee which provides one person access to everything listed below, unlimited. OR Tickets can be purchased for 1 dollar per ticket at the entrance.
Ticket Prices:
Bouncy House - 3 tickets per jump
Games - 2 tickets per game
Face Painting - 5 tickets
Airbrush Tattoos - 5 tickets for each tattoo
Concession Stand (Popcorn or Cotton Candy) - 2 tickets per food item
In order to host this event, we need volunteers! Please consider donating an hour of your time - all volunteers receive 5 free tickets to use towards event activities!
Save The Date- Merrimac Goes Back To School!
Merrimac Goes Back to School will be held at the Sweetsir School on 8/31/23 from 2-4pm. Students will have a chance to visit their new classroom from 2-3pm, with the exception of Kindergarten which will meet their teacher outdoors in the courtyard. Kindergarten students will see their classroom during their orientation day. All children must be accompanied to their classroom by an adult. More details to come as the event gets closer!
