Reminders About Temporary Remote Learner Status



All students need to attend school during their assigned weeks. Attending school in-person is an important part of academic success and emotional well-being.


  • Acceptable reasons to stay home as a Temporary Remote Learner include: illness, mandated quarantine, or awaiting Covid-19 test results. If a student is going to be absent, be sure to contact the school's Attendance Office the morning of the absence at 624-7088..
  • Unacceptable reasons to stay home as a Temporary Remote Learner include: tired, working on late assignments, more convenient to work from home, babysitting, no transportation, missed the bus, etc.

Asynchronous Days Expectations for Students and Staff

Friday, January 29th is the next scheduled asynchronous learning day. Please see the link below for a brief overview of the expectations for both students and staff during an asynchronous learning day (remote learning). On asynchronous learning days, students will not come to school but will instead proceed with their studies remotely. Staff will report to school unless otherwise directed by the Superintendent.

Yearbook Orders Due January 30, 2021

HF-L has changed publishing companies, we are working with Jostens. All yearbook orders are to be placed online this year. You can purchase a yearbook w/ personalization through January 30th. Jostens has quite a campaign, you should receive emails & postcards reminding you to purchase. Or, you can follow this link to order: Place Yearbook Order

If you are a senior who took advantage of the early sales of yearbooks, you are all set, your order has been placed.

Green Team T-Shirt Design Contest

Mask Wearing Reminder

This is an important clarification about the wearing of masks in the lunchroom. You must wear your masks at ALL TIMES during the lunch period. The only exception is to take it down while you are eating your lunch. You must continue to wear the mask during lunch even while remaining 6 feet apart.

Remote Learners- Items are In Main Lobby

This is a reminder for remote students- you may stop by the main office at any time during school hours to collect items that your teachers have left for you (assignments, art project supplies, etc.)!
