Anderson "Wild Fox" Run Club
Information and Sign Up
Do you have an Anderson student in grades 3-5 who loves to run or wants to become more active? If you do, this program is for your child! Not only will we be active but there is also a character education curriculum. We learn how to be positive team players and how to encourage each other to set goals as we work together to help each other succeed!!
Who: Anderson boys and girls grades 3-5
What: Walk/run program-we will start by walking more than running and gradually build up to more running than walking. We will end the session with a graduation 5k race!! We will also spend time working on using our strengths to help us build character, self-esteem, and sportsmanship.
When: Every Thursday from September 1st - October 13th from 3:00-4:00. Our graduation 5k will be on Saturday, October 15th. We will meet at SEBA Park in South Elgin.
Where: Anderson Gym/Outside...we will meet in the gym and then walk to RIVER BEND COMMUNITY PARK and run outside when the weather is appropriate. Our 4:00 pick-up will be at the park again this season.
Cost: $40...includes graduation 5k swag bag, special Wild Fox run club T-Shirt, supplies, and certified teacher supervision. No need to send in a payment-your push coin account will be charged when your registration is confirmed. If you want your child to participate but need financial assistance, please let our Principal, Mr. Jarot, know (nathan.jarot@d303.org) as partial scholarships are available!
We are also very excited to have the Dick Pond Running store participate with our group! They have been building successful runners in our community for many years!
Please submit this form by Thursday, August 25th. We hope to include as many students as we can, however, we may have limited space in this club so it will be first come, first served. If you have signed up one or more children, please fill a form out for EACH child.
