Child Abuse and Human Rights

"Child abuse is when a parent or caregiver, whether through action or failing to act, causes injury, death, emotional harm or risk of serious harm to a child. There are many forms of child maltreatment, including neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation, and emotional abuse". Child Abuse violates Article #4 of The Universal Declaration of Human Rights: no slavery.

In Chicago, the reports are that 79.5% of children suffer neglect, 18% suffer physical abuse, and 9% suffer sexual abuse. The problem with child abuse is that children can get traumatized; they need to talk to someone. In Chicago, almost five children die everyday of child abuse.

What is being done about Child Abuse?

Well when people be seeing a kid with so much anger or be coming to school with a purple arm or something teacher be reporting that.what we doing to stop child abuse is talking to kids how they feel or how is it going at home. When we see a kid getting child abuse they call the police to help the kid.

Child abuse is everywhere put when people see it happening they do something about it.Kids sometimes don't say they getting hurt because there scared of getting separated.
Sometimes child abuse is too much that some kids even killed them selves.The kids sometimes gave to go to therapy to talk to someone whats been going on.
