APS will be sending out a text message test next week. If you haven't done so already, please follow the directions below in updating mobile phone numbers in ASPEN.

Helping Your Young Child Dress for Outdoor in the Winter

In last week's SMORE, we asked for parents and guardians to help their children practice putting on their winter outer garments so they can be as independent as possible at school. This is especially helpful for the colder months when the children have outdoor recess. From getting the coats on and zippering them, to wiggling on mittens or gloves and maneuvering hats and hoods, young children can struggle doing these tasks on their own. We totally understand! We will continue to help the children and show them some tricks so they can be more independent as the year goes on. If parents and guardians can partner with us to provide further practice at home, together, we can create confident, self-sufficient children who feel pride in being able to dress themselves for the outdoors.

Below are a few articles that may help you along the way with some tips and tricks. Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to the home-school partnership in molding our students to be independent, confident and ready to take the next step in dressing for the great outdoors!

Please go to the App store and search Attleboro Public Schools. There is a new app which will be an excellent means of finding information in one location.
