WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL - FEBRUARY 2021

Dear Students & Families,

Wow! What an amazing return to school we had today. Be assured that we are continuing to have safety procedures in place for the health and well being of everyone in our building.

Those of you who have chosen to remain 100% remote will continue to follow the instructions given by your classroom teacher. All students will be online promptly at 8:00 am for the morning meeting and foundational skills lessons. There are also weekly check-in times with teachers. Watching the learning videos, homework completion and attendance is required. Please communicate with your teachers for any clarification. Teachers will respond at their earliest convenience in accordance with their teaching schedule. We are here to help. Always feel free to call.

For the first time in OPS history, staff and students participated in "Snow Day School". Teachers met with students remotely from their homes to yours. We were very impressed with the attendance of our students.

Thank you to our staff, students, parents, guardians and anyone who assists with student academic success on the home front. This is a collective effort as we move forward. We will continue to construct our road to success by BUILDING LEADERS, LEARNERS, AND BRIGHTER FUTURES for every Wilson Focus student.

Always feel free to reach out and call or email with any questions or concerns. We are here to help!

Enrichment

Our enrichment is a valuable part of our Focus Program. We were hopeful to start enrichment with our 100% return, however we won't be able to at this time. We have many of our enrichment offerings from people in our community. At this time we can not have visitors in the building. We will resume enrichment as soon as the restrictions are lifted.

Valentine's Day Party

We are happy to announce that we will still have a Valentine's Day Party on Friday, February 12th. It will look different this year. A treat will be provided to be taken home. Due to Covid precautions, schools are expected to refrain from handing out Valentine's Day cards, eating candy or treats, and other materials that could be exchanged among students. Please do not send candy or cards for your child to pass out to other students. We love our students! Happy Valentine's Day!

Parent Teacher Conferences

At this time, conferences will be held remotely. The classroom teacher will be in contact with each family to make an appointment for the following times.

Wednesday, March 3, 2021 4:00 - 7:00 p.m.
