Compression
an ace bandage or elastic bandage wrapped firmly immobilizing the injury area causing compression preventing swelling
Rest
the most effective way to kick start the healing process of an injury is rest. Because a sprained muscle and is now vulnerable.
Elevation
Elevating the area of the injury above your heart helps drain the fluid from the area causing the swelling to go down.
Medication
Medications with anti-inflammatory properties. These meds help to reduce swelling and relieves pain because of that.
