Free Meditation App

Jeanette Koh wanted to share this with our staff. It is called the "Calm App" that has SEL integration in the classroom. The full version is free for teachers ($60 value). Great opportunity to open up class or practice mindfulness with your class when you need it. It's also a time for you to use it as well! Click below for more info

A message from Relay for Life:

This is a wonderful opportunity to bring our community together to fight for an extremely important cause. We welcome and encourage any schools that would like to have a team(s) participate in the Relay for Life. We will put putting purple ribbon around the community to raise awareness. The attached flyer has the registration information. Once again, it is only a 12-hour event. Right now we are in the process of reminding our community that when we work together we can accomplish more together.

A WORTHY READ

Practicing Boredom in the Classroom

If students practice the material so much they are bored with it, they probably understand the material quite well. They have engaged mentally with the information so much that it now requires less conscious effort to complete the work…schemas are developed and working memory isn’t taxed as much as it once was with this subject matter.
