Persona Famousa

Joan Miró was born on April 20th, 1893 in Barcelona, and he died on December 25th, 1983 in Majorca, Spain. He was an artist who was famous for his sculptures and paintings. Early in his career, he primarily painted still-lifes, landscapes, and genre scenes. However, he eventually superseded by more contemporary ones like Fauvism, Cubism, and Surrealism. His artistic career may be characterized as one of persistent experimentation with non-objectivity. He often worked with a limited palette, yet the colors were bold and expressive. Miró's signature biomorphic forms, geometric shapes, and semi-abstract objects are expressed in multiple media, from ceramics end engravings to large bronze installations. An interesting fact about Joan was that he created 2,000 paintings, 500 sculptures, 400 ceramics, 5,000 drawings, and 1,000 lithographs throughout his lifetime.
