English Language Education Resources

Colorín Colorado is a national multimedia project that offers a wealth of bilingual, research-based information, activities, and advice for educators and families of English learners (ELs). Colorín Colorado is an educational service of WETA, the flagship public broadcasting station in the nation's capital, and receives major funding from the American Federation of Teachers and National Education Association. © Copyright 2017 WETA Public Broadcasting.

Gill Montague welcomes educators, families, and community members to explore these resources and links as we work together in support of inclusive practices throughout our schools and larger community. In future newsletters we will introduce members of our English Language Education team here in GPS.

Home Education/ Home Schooling

Home Education Programs are overseen by the Student Services Department in accordance with the school district policies. GPS policies, presently under review by the school committee policy subcommittee, that pertain to home education programs are linked below. It is important for families to adhere to state laws regarding school attendance. Home education plans need to be submitted and approved prior to a child being removed from a formal public or private educational program. If you have questions about the home/ education notice of intent and approval process please contact the student services office at 413-772-1320.
