Independent Reading Projects

The next round of book reviews and projects are due soon.

Book reviews will be submitted to TurnItIn.com and must be in before 2:20 pm on Wednesday, January 7th to receive credit.

Book projects are due no later than 2:20 pm on Wednesday, January 14th. Because this is an ongoing project, no late projects will be accepted.

Make sure you stop by the library to check out some of the highlights of the first marking period's projects!

MP2 Focus: The Monomyth

The second marking period has been EPIC (see what I did there) as we've explored ancient literature including The Epic of Gilgamesh and Beowulf. In January, we will begin The Odyssey and Dante's Inferno.

In addition to exploring ancient works of literature, students have been writing their own original epics. These stories are due to TurnItIn.com no later than 2:20 pm on Friday, December 19th.

I look forward to reading your literary masterpieces!

Mid Term Exams

Mid term exams are quickly approaching. The 2nd marking period ends on Monday, January 26th. Mid term exams will begin on Tuesday, January 27th and run through the 30th. A schedule will be posted on the school website.

The English 3 Honors mid term is a skills-based test designed to emulate the SATs and the PARCC exams. Students will receive a review guide the week prior to exams.
