Student Taster Sessions: Department of Social Science, Health and Medicine

Wednesday 27 April 2016

King’s College London’s Department of Social Science, Health and Medicine would like to encourage our students to register for an afternoon taster session at the Strand Campus on either Wednesday 16 March or Wednesday 27 April, 2016.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to experience a Global Health and Social Medicine lecture, a tour of the campus, the chance to question current undergraduate students and an overview of the programme.

There is capacity for 10 students total over the two sessions. Please register asap if you would like to attend.

New! Politics Society: Should we really ban Trump from the green and pleasant land?

Big image

This Wednesday lunchtime marks the first gathering of the newly-founded Politics society by Grade 11 student Rachel Green. Join us in a to-be-confirmed room at 1245 for this week's opening discussion on whether or not Trump should really be banned from our country. Following the Republican presidential candidate's comments on his intentions of barring Muslims entrance to the US if he became president, this was discussed in Parliament on Monday after a petition gaining 500,000+ signatories was submitted to the Commons.

In a celebration of the pseudo-politico, no prior experience or real knowledge of politics (or work) required. Some interest is probably recommended. Opinions from all ages and backgrounds welcomed, interruptions frowned upon. Politician's answers and "witty banter" strongly encouraged.
