Instructional Status Change Form due Friday, December 4
As we approach the close of the fall semester, we would like to remind our parents of the learning options available to best support our students. Specifically, students currently in remote learning at home may switch to in-person learning at school only at the beginning of each grading period. Conversely, a student who is currently at school for in-person learning on campus may revert to remote learning at home at any time.
To prepare for the next grading period which begins Tuesday, January 5, 2021, parents are asked to make the appropriate selection using the Instructional Status Change Form posted on our website before Friday, December 4. If you will not be making a change to your child’s current instructional status, no action is required.
A listing of Frequently Asked Questions and other resources regarding our learning options are available on the School Year 2020-2021: Learning. Transformed section of our website.
Rough Hollow Elementary School officially opens with ribbon cutting ceremony
Special guests included RHE principal Angela Frankhouser, LTISD Superintendent Paul Norton, retired LTISD Superintendent Dr. Brad Lancaster, City of Bee Cave Mayor Kara King, Texas Senator Dawn Buckingham, and representatives from Pfluger Architects, Bartlett Cocke General Contractors, the Lake Travis Education Foundation and the Rough Hollow Elementary PTO. The project is part of the District's $253 million bond approved by voters in 2017. Out of an abundance of caution, attendance at the ceremony was limited. School officials hope to schedule an open house for parents and the Rough Hollow community in the very near future.

The popular Green Santa program is back this year to help area families in need during the holidays. Green Santa is operated by LTlov, a local non-profit organization whose mission is to assist neighbors with limiting circumstances. Due to the pandemic, many Lake Travis families are in need of assistance with providing gifts for their children this holiday season.
If you are a family that would like to submit an application to receive a donation, please complete the required forms and return them via email or physical mail by December 1.
Questions or concerns may be directed to LTlov at greensanta@ltlov.org.
LTEF, LTISD deliver grants and roses for "Big Check Day"
Each spring, LTISD administrators and representatives from the Lake Travis Education Foundation hand-deliver grants to fund classroom projects as part of LTEF's "Big Check Day." Due to constraints around COVID-19, the Spring 2019 event was postponed. However, officials were able to continue this long-standing tradition October 29-30 with limited participation.
In all, LTEF provided 72 grants districtwide totaling $251,000. In addition to these grants,
Haddon + Cowan Architects provided each recipient with a dozen roses and a certificate of appreciation. Congratulations to all recipients, and to thank you to Haddon Cowman Architects for making this event extra special.
