Puppy Week

Next week we will be having a puppy themed week. Please have your student bring in an empty shoebox and a (small) stuffed animal puppy. The stuffed animal will come home with them on Friday. If your child does not have a stuffed animal puppy don't worry they may adopt one of mine for the week.

This week:

This week in language arts we began with an author study, Mo Willems! The kids enjoyed a number of books by one of their favorite authors. We also learned to draw one of his famous characters. We moved into pirate themed literature as the week progressed- Pirates Don't Change Diapers was a class favorite!

In math this week we have continued to work on our math fact mastery. Our goal is to have kiddos fluent with addition and subtraction facts to 10.

We had exploration stations this week that involved cup stacking and map making. Many of the maps turned into treasure maps with a map key and everything!

It has been a great week, thank you for sharing your children with me!
