.Hopefully everyone has already submitted their registration forms for the COLOR RUN! Registration is required so that we can order t-shirts and fundraise. Please send in the form if you haven’t, but after today we are not guaranteeing the arrival of the t-shirt & awards.
Students got to meet the new Hornung Mascot this week and will vote to give it a name! A big thanks to our volunteers donning the costume and escorting the Mascot among the kids. The Mascot will be at our Color Run but please try to keep the costume clean from color!

Sunday, September 17th : Blessings in a Backpack's Fashion Show charity fundraiser. Please see the attached flier if you'd like to see Hornung staff modeling in this great cause. Tickets are $30 and include lunch.
Monday, September 18th : PINK WEEK starts. See the attached list of events.
Tuesday, September 19th : CHIPOTLE fundraiser from 4-8pm.
Thursday, September 21st : Popcorn Thursday! Bring in $1 for a bag of popcorn. You can Venmo hornungpto $1.19 for a bag or prepay $9.52 to cover all 8 events. Please indicate the child’s name, grade and teacher if using Venmo.
Friday, September 22nd : All-school PINK OUT! Everyone is encouraged to wear pink!

Reporting Your Student's Absence in Parent Connect
There is a helpful feature in Parent Connect that allows you to enter your student’s absence. Simply log into parent connect and click on the link Report Absence. The Report Absence link will open a screen for you to complete. If you have more than one student check the name of the student for whom an absence is being submitted. Add the applicable dates. If you check the All Day flag attendance will be submitted for the am and pm periods. If you do not check the All Day flag times must be entered and attendance will be submitted for whichever periods meet during the time range (based on period schedule). If you use Parent Connect to report your child's absence you do not need to call the attendance line.
