Top Dorms at Baylor:
Kokernot Hall
For the 2016-2017 academic year this will be an all male community. Guys will be able to relax and enjoy the fun of college in this dorm. I personally prefer this dorm because it provides the most privacy.
Collins Hall
This is a women's only facility. It is a fun and energetic place to be. Ladies here have the opportunity to bond and make great memories.
Penland Hall
This is a male and female dorm where students can bond and make connections. It is a fun place to be and provides a great atmosphere for learning.
Costs
The price for a room is $6,500 and a board costs $4,208 for the school year. The tuition for the school year is $34,480 for both in-state and out-of-state. To help pay for the cost of tuition, Baylor offers Baptist Scholarships, Committee Scholarships, Department Scholarships and Outside Scholarships.
Student Life and Clubs:
Student Life
There are plenty of sporting events that you can attend at Baylor University. The Greek life also provides an opportunity for students to have the best undergraduate experience in their lifetime.
Clubs
All of the clubs that are offered at Baylor are great but one of the best for me would be the Baylor University HOSA. It allows for students to get a better experience in the healthcare career path that I would want to go down.
Healthcare
The related majors include Athletic Training, Bioinformatics, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Studies, Child Life Specialist, Clinical Laboratory Science, Community Health, Environmental Health, Exercise Physiology, Health Education, Health Science Studies, Healthcare Administration, Medical Humanities, Nursing, Nutrition Science, Physical Education Teacher, Physician Assistant, Psychology and Neuroscience, Public Health, Social Work and Speech-Language Pathology. I'm most interested in nursing. There is a second application. The GPA required is greater than 2.5 and the class is on a second satellite campus. I could be awarded a BSN and will learn a lot about sciences. There will be additional schooling after the BSN. 70 percent of the students that apply are accepted and students are accepted each semester.
Reflection
This college is very interesting to me. I want to go to the school because of its medical reputation. It is a very good school with some pretty cool alumni. This school is also very close to home, closer then other schools. I would be privileged to go to this school. The cost might prohibit me from going to this school. It might also be tough to get out of my comfort zone. I am a very shy person. Once I get to know people I tend to be more open. If I get comfortable, I become more approachable. After all of the research that I have done I am more interested in going to Baylor. This school will provide a lot of opportunities. I will learn a lot of great life lessons here. The staff seems to be good. I can't wait to get the opportunity to go to Baylor.
