Electricity
By: Danielle Bennett
Conductor
Materials that freely allow the flow of electrons with very little resistance.
EX: Copper, Gold, Silver
Semi Conductor
Materials that do not allow electors to flow freely but do not directly stop them either. Semi Conductors have more resistance than conductors but less resistance than insulators.
EX: Silicon, Selenium
Insulator
Materials that greatly impede or stop the flow of electrons with very high resistance.
EX: Glass, Air, Plastic, Rubber, Wood
Comparing and Contrasting
Insulators and Semi Conductors are the same in the way that it makes the electrons stop moving or slow down
Insulators and Conductors are different in the way that Insulators stop the flow and Conductors flow freely
