Propaganda
WWI...Peyton Burchette
Name calling poster
This piece of propaganda is to make the Germans look like a brutal savage. They are seen as monsters, who need to be put down. The purpose of this is to make citizens feel like they need to stop the Germans, thus inlisting.
Propaganda poster
Seeing this makes the viewer feel violated. The enemy is spying on them, wouldn't you want that to stop? Creates a sense of fear, another tactic to get citizens to enlist.
Homefront supply poster
The soldier is counting off the supplies they need to fight the war. It's upto the people at home to provide them with those supplies. For those who didn't or couldn't join the war, this informs them on the next best thing. Gives people a chance to give back to their military.
Guilt poster
The purpose of this one is to guilt the reader into helping fight the war. Thinking of how another man is fighting for his country while he's relaxing on the beach would be a huge guilt trip for anyone.
Modern Day army poster
In todays society this is something not uncommon to see. We as people have grown and opened our minds to more possibilities. Today we allow females in the military when back then that would have never been alowed.
Liberty Bonds
Donate as much as you can. Every cent counts when used towards a liberty bond. You could help fund the war and give our troops the supplies they need to keep fighting. This is how the war was funded at home, people made sacrafices.
Be a man. Be a hero. Serve your country
