Omicron Phi Newsletter
2014-2015
Brothers,
This newsletter has been designed to inform and update you of events, achievements, and accomplishments that have transpired over the course of the past year and events that are upcoming. For those brothers who are unaware of the current state of the Fraternity, taking place currently is a new pilot program recognized as "MTA" or (Membership Training Academy). Only a select number of chapters were chosen to take part in this test and Omicron Phi was not selected to participate in this test program, we are optimistically hoping for its success so we can look forward to this process being initiated for all Undergraduate and Alumni chapters to participate during the Spring Semester. Also brothers to give a brief update of the current state of the chapter, there are only 2 remaining undergraduate brothers on the campus of Georgia Southern including, myself (Ryan Bright), as well as Mazi Harrell, who is a Senior Nursing major graduating at the conclusion of the Fall semester. We are asking for assistance in the form of monetary donations to be sent to (ophinupes@gmail.com), which is our current PayPal account. These funds will be utilized in upcoming Certification dues ($790) as well as registration fees for Provincial Council ($720), building a chapter website/logo, new organizational tablecloth, and for the Funding of Homekoming 2K15. Omicron Phi will be celebrating its 10th year on the campus of Georgia Southern University. We want this event to be successful so anything that you can contribute will be greatly appreciated. In the future I intend to make these newsletters more frequent, so you will continue to have a direct link with this our great Chapter. If you have any feature stories that you would like to be covered in this newsletter, please send those articles to the email provided at the end of this newsletter.
YITB,
Ryan Bright

139 Women's Conference
Georgia Southern University campus ministry organized a conference in which young women learned how to become empowered for life after college.
“The 139 conference started with my life kinda, it started with low- self-esteem as a younger girl and it was my relationship with Christ, when I found out that I was beautiful, when I came upon the scripture Psalms 139: 14,” Founder Amanda Ross said.
The Brothers of the Omicron Phi Chapter were invited to be on the Men's panel to answer questions and engage in the discussion of relationships and what Men look for in a woman.
