Bellbrook Staff Development

What's going on?
What? No new topics or initiatives? NO! Let's continue the great work you've already begun with your students. Let's decide what teacher-led discussions we want to participate in or create a new "room" to learn something new from each other! This is the philosophy of the "UnConference," which is how we will organize the afternoon. If you'd rather attend a traditional session, we will also have guests, Marilyn Brigati, ELA Consultant to talk with you about the new assessments and John Meixner, from Netdemics, Inc. to open the doors of Google apps!. They will be available during both afternoon sessions.

Start up a new "room" topic and get together with other interested teachers! That's the beauty of the "un-conference." Not comfortable with that much flexibility? Attend a session on Google Apps (John Meixner) or PARCC expectations and ELA/Literacy standards (not just for ELA teachers) with Marilyn Brigati.
Vertical Teams Meet-Up AM
Department/Vertical Team meetings will allow you to continue your "Three Focus Areas" work you began on August 19, 2013 (6-12) or kickoff your (K-5) vertical discussions. Talking points and/or your today'smeet.com transcripts from August will be available to get you started in these teacher-led meetings. K-5 teachers will receive talking points to guide their discussions.
Follow-up in the future
Opportunities will be available to keep the professional conversations going throughout the year using technology.
