Banned Book Week Bookends Painting
Take the opportunity to support "Freedom to Read" by painting a bookend based on a censored title for the final commemoration of Banned Books Month on Friday, October 12, 2018 during both lunches and after school.

Act of Kindness Month
The CHS Library will offer an opportunity for the school community to take a stand against bullying for the October "Acts of Kindness" campaign. Students may take one of the colored index cards on a display with a kind act listed. After completing the task, students will write their name and describe their experience. Participants will be eligible for prizes.

Horror Fiction Book Contest
Does your adrenaline raise to astounding heights when frightened? Ready to engage in a suspenseful thriller? Are you more engrossed in reading scary books than others? Participate in the Horror Fiction contest by choosing the scariest current best seller. Book drawings for the top chosen books will occur during the Halloween Open Mike on October 26, 2018.
